International Business Council (IBC), established in December 2000, unites a wide range of local and international businesses. IBC activities are aimed at creating attractive investment climate in Kyrgyzstan by improving legislation on entrepreneurship, and promoting efficient business practices. IBC actively supports economic reforms and ensures that private sector interests are represented in the government decision-making process.
On May 31, 2012, the Governments of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea will hold business forum. During the event, bilateral negotiations will be held by the Kyrgyz and Korean businessmen engaged in energy, transport, tourism, manufacturing, textile and electronics industries, as well as banking and financial sectors.
In April, IBC Committee for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility has initiated a number of events to create a platform for the discussion of measures to increase energy efficiency in Kyrgyzstan through introducing energy efficient technologies and fulfilling obligations undertaken by the country under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
In March and April, the Bai-Tushum and Partners Company held first trainings for its clients on financial literacy titled "Plan Your Future”. The trainings were conducted by the company’s officers, who received a special training under the Microfinance Centre Program (MFC, Poland). The training program was customized for the needs of low income families and included economic education, development of entrepreneurial skills and culture of savings.
The competition is conducted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in cooperation with the International Business Council (IBC) and the Public Foundation “Tourism Promotion and Development Board in Kyrgyzstan” with the financial support of the European Commission in the framework of the Central Asian Invest Program II.

This draft law provides for a number of amendments and additions to the Tax Code, Code of Administrative Responsibility, Law on Insurance Fee Rates under State Social Insurance, Law on Credit Unions, and Law on Microfinance Organizations in the Kyrgyz Republic.
