On January 26, 2012, Minister of Economy and Antimonopoly Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Temir Sariyev met with representatives of business associations and the civil society.
Mr. Sariyev said that businesses could promote their ideas since responsibilities of the Ministry were broadened. Now the Ministry leads the Agency for Antimonopoly Policy. According to him, the Agency will not act as a controlling or punitive body. It will be businesses’ partner and will implement the policy aimed at restraining monopolies and large businesses and supporting small and medium enterprises, he added.
